Zurück aus dem Urlaub - rein ins neue Berufsleben / Back from vacation - entering the new work life

Nach 8 Tagen Urlaub in Italien ging's gestern wieder zurück nach Hause. Da morgen ja mein erster richtiger Arbeitstag in meiner Selbstständigkeit ist, konnte ich es kaum erwarten wieder zurückzukommen und alle jene Ideen zu realisieren, welche mir in den letzten Wochen in den Kopf schossen :-) Obwohl ich erst dachte, dass ich vielleicht noch wenig zu tun hätte, kommen morgen doch gleich einige Aufgaben auf mich zu. Das freut mich natürlich umso mehr :-)

Das Angebot meiner Visitenkarten kam während meines Urlaubes per Mail an. Ich war sehr positiv über den Preis überrascht. Mit Prägung, runde Ecken und speziellem Papier kommt eine Visitenkarte auf 59 Cent. Natürlich ist das für Visitenkarten noch ein recht hoher Preis aber für meine Extrawünsche angemessen :-) Morgen wird dann die Datei meiner Visitenkarte an die Druckerei geschickt und in ein bis zwei Wochen werde ich dann hoffentlich schon ein Foto der Visitenkarten uploaden können!

PS.: Ich bin in meinem gesamten Urlaub zu keinem Sketch gekommen (diesen werde ich in den nächsten Tagen nachholen), aber dafür habe ich in meinem morgendlichen Cappuccino einen Smiley gefunden :-) Mit etwas Kreativität findet man überall ein Lächeln!

After 8 days of vacationing in Italy, I returned back home yesterday. As tomorrow will be my first "real" work day, I couldn't wait to return and start realizing all the ideas that came to my mind within the last weeks. At first I thought that my first day wouldn't be filled with much to do, it turned out to be the complete opposite - I have a long list of tasks for tomorrow and the whole week to follow. I'm happy about that :-)

The offer for my business cards was sent to me during my vacation. I was surprised to see the price because it turned out to be 59 Cents per business card with embossing, round corners and the special paper. I know that this price is still high for a business card but it is adequate considering all my extra wishes :-) Tomorrow I'll send the file of my business card to the printing shop and hopefully in one or two weeks I will be able to upload a picture of the finished ones!

PS.: I didn't get to make one sketch during my vacation (I will make up for that within the next few days), but I found a smiley in my cappuccino :-) With creativity one can find a smile in everything!

Prototyp meiner Visitenkarte / Prototype of my business card

Soweit fertig - der Prototyp meiner Visitenkarte ist gedruckt und geschnitten, gefalzt und geprägt :-) Nun ja, ich muss zugeben, dass ist nicht die erste Visitenkarte, die ich mache und die passt dann auch gleich - das wär fast ein Wunder. Habe mehrere Designs ausprobiert, von einer fachkundigen Jury bewerten lassen ;-) und eigentlich war gleich von Anfang an, diese Visitenkarte mein Liebling. Ein paar kleine Änderungen mussten vorgenommen werden, deshalb habe ich heute nochmal ein Muster für die Druckerei gemacht. Leider ist der Druck auf meinem Drucker nicht der beste, aber dafür werden die Visitenkarten der Druckerei um ein Vielfaches schöner :-)

Bin gespannt, wie das Angebot der Druckerei aussehen wird, da ich gerne runde Kanten haben möchte und eine Prägung. Sollte die Prägung zu teuer sein, dann muss eventuell Handarbeit geleistet werden :-) Mal sehen...

So far, so good - prototype of my business card is printed out, cut, folded and embossed :-) Well, I do have to admit that this is not the first business card I've created and it happens to be perfect - that would be a miracle :-) I've tried different design, let them be judged by a competent jury ;-) and to be honest, from the beginning on, this design was my favorite. Some small changes had to be done, that's why I had to make another one for the print shop today. Unfortunately my printer's not the best but I know the finished business card from the print shop will be a hundred times more beautiful :-)

I'm curious to see the offer the print shop will send me, because I want to have round corners and part of my logo embossed for the business card. If the embossing turns out to be too expensive, I'll just have to use my crafting skills :-) We'll see...
