Aufträge, Flyer und Visitenkarten / Projects, flyers and business cards

Eine ereignisreichen Woche liegt hinter mir - neue Aufträge, gedruckte Flyer und Visitenkarten!

Dienstag hatte ich den Termin bei einem Firseursalon und fand heraus, dass dieser nicht nur einen Flyer benötigt, sondern auch ein Logo, zwei Flyer, Visitenkarten und eventuell eine Webseite. Der Friseursalon ist wirklich sehr schön gestaltet mit antik aussehenden Möbeln, Spiegeln in goldenen Rahmen, ein kleiner Hof mit Rosen und alten Gartenmöbeln - alles sehr idyllisch!
Am Dienstag habe ich den nächsten Termin, um ein paar Logovorschläge vorzuzeigen und das Angebot für alle Leistungen! Wenn alles gut läuft, kann ich nächste Woche schon mit der Finalisierung des Logos und der Gestaltung der Flyer und Visitenkarten beginnen! Ich werde die Entwürfe nächste Woche auch hier herzeigen und hoffe sie gefallen :-)

Donnerstag erfuhr ich, dass mein ehemaliger Arbeitgeber Folder für diverse Messebesuche benötigt. Ich habe mich sehr über diesen Auftrag gefreut. Der Folder soll schlicht, elegant und edel wirken! Lieferung der gedruckten Folder muss bis 2. August erfolgen. Das heißt bis Montag wird der erste Entwurf fertig sein, am Donnerstag sollte es in Druck gehen, sodass die Lieferung pünktlich erfolgt!

Eine weitere erfreuliche Nachricht gibt es: Die Visitenkarten mit Prägung und runden Ecken sind nun fertig und ich habe sie gestern bei der Druckerei abgeholt! Der Druck ist sehr schön geworden, die Prägung auch! Nun fehlen noch die Banderolen um die Visitenkarten, für die ich eine Schablone anfertigen werde und dann selbst alle zuschneide und klebe! Naja nicht alle 1.100 Stück - Aber einige davon :-)

Mein 250 Stk. Flyer wurden auch schon am Dienstag geliefert! Leider ist mir mit den Farben ein kleiner Fehler unterlaufen und die Töne des Orange meiner Visitenkarte und die der Flyer sind sehr unterschiedlich. Ich wusste, dass sie verschieden aussehen werden, da ich für das Logo eine Pantone Farbe wählte, aber der Unterschied ist doch größer als gedacht :-) Ich werde deshalb das Hintergrundbild der Vorderseite so anpassen, dass dieses dem Orange meines Logos gleicht! Sollte im Photoshop kein Problem sein :-)

A eventful week lies behind - new projects, printed flyers and business cards!

On Tuesday I had an appointment with the hair salon and found out, that they not only needed one flyer, but also a logo, another flyer, business cards and maybe even a website! The hair salon looks really nice with antique looking furniture, mirrors with golden borders, a small court outside with roses and old garden furniture - very idyllic!
On Tuesday we'll have another appointment, where I will show some drafts of the logo and also the the offer for all the design services! If all goes well, I'll be starting to finalize the logo and design the flyers and business cards next week! I'll upload some drafts of the logo next week!

On Thursday I got another project to work on - my former employer needs a folder! I was happy that they wanted me to create this folder! The finished folder should be simple, elegant and classy! The printed folders have to be delivered until the 2nd of August. That means the first draft is going to be finished on Monday and on Thursday it will be sent to the printer!

Some more good news this week: The business cards with the embossing and the round corners are printed and I picked them up yesterday! The print shop did a really good job on the printing and the embossing! Now, only the banderoles around the business cards are missing. I'll make a stencil for it and will cut and glue them myself! Well maybe not all of the 1.100 pieces but at least some of them :-)

Also my 250 flyers were sent to me on Tuesday! They look very nice but I've made a small mistake with the color - the orange of the background image of the flyer looks different than the orange of my logo! I knew that they would look different because I used a Pantone color for the logo and I did not for the flyer, but I didn't know that the difference would be that big! I will adjust the background image of the flyer, so that it will fit the orange of my logo :-) shouldn't be a problem with Photoshop!

Zurück aus dem Urlaub - rein ins neue Berufsleben / Back from vacation - entering the new work life

Nach 8 Tagen Urlaub in Italien ging's gestern wieder zurück nach Hause. Da morgen ja mein erster richtiger Arbeitstag in meiner Selbstständigkeit ist, konnte ich es kaum erwarten wieder zurückzukommen und alle jene Ideen zu realisieren, welche mir in den letzten Wochen in den Kopf schossen :-) Obwohl ich erst dachte, dass ich vielleicht noch wenig zu tun hätte, kommen morgen doch gleich einige Aufgaben auf mich zu. Das freut mich natürlich umso mehr :-)

Das Angebot meiner Visitenkarten kam während meines Urlaubes per Mail an. Ich war sehr positiv über den Preis überrascht. Mit Prägung, runde Ecken und speziellem Papier kommt eine Visitenkarte auf 59 Cent. Natürlich ist das für Visitenkarten noch ein recht hoher Preis aber für meine Extrawünsche angemessen :-) Morgen wird dann die Datei meiner Visitenkarte an die Druckerei geschickt und in ein bis zwei Wochen werde ich dann hoffentlich schon ein Foto der Visitenkarten uploaden können!

PS.: Ich bin in meinem gesamten Urlaub zu keinem Sketch gekommen (diesen werde ich in den nächsten Tagen nachholen), aber dafür habe ich in meinem morgendlichen Cappuccino einen Smiley gefunden :-) Mit etwas Kreativität findet man überall ein Lächeln!

After 8 days of vacationing in Italy, I returned back home yesterday. As tomorrow will be my first "real" work day, I couldn't wait to return and start realizing all the ideas that came to my mind within the last weeks. At first I thought that my first day wouldn't be filled with much to do, it turned out to be the complete opposite - I have a long list of tasks for tomorrow and the whole week to follow. I'm happy about that :-)

The offer for my business cards was sent to me during my vacation. I was surprised to see the price because it turned out to be 59 Cents per business card with embossing, round corners and the special paper. I know that this price is still high for a business card but it is adequate considering all my extra wishes :-) Tomorrow I'll send the file of my business card to the printing shop and hopefully in one or two weeks I will be able to upload a picture of the finished ones!

So long - I will tell you about my first day of work soon :-)

PS.: I didn't get to make one sketch during my vacation (I will make up for that within the next few days), but I found a smiley in my cappuccino :-) With creativity one can find a smile in everything!

Prototyp meiner Visitenkarte / Prototype of my business card

Soweit fertig - der Prototyp meiner Visitenkarte ist gedruckt und geschnitten, gefalzt und geprägt :-) Nun ja, ich muss zugeben, dass ist nicht die erste Visitenkarte, die ich mache und die passt dann auch gleich - das wär fast ein Wunder. Habe mehrere Designs ausprobiert, von einer fachkundigen Jury bewerten lassen ;-) und eigentlich war gleich von Anfang an, diese Visitenkarte mein Liebling. Ein paar kleine Änderungen mussten vorgenommen werden, deshalb habe ich heute nochmal ein Muster für die Druckerei gemacht. Leider ist der Druck auf meinem Drucker nicht der beste, aber dafür werden die Visitenkarten der Druckerei um ein Vielfaches schöner :-)

Bin gespannt, wie das Angebot der Druckerei aussehen wird, da ich gerne runde Kanten haben möchte und eine Prägung. Sollte die Prägung zu teuer sein, dann muss eventuell Handarbeit geleistet werden :-) Mal sehen...

So far, so good - prototype of my business card is printed out, cut, folded and embossed :-) Well, I do have to admit that this is not the first business card I've created and it happens to be perfect - that would be a miracle :-) I've tried different design, let them be judged by a competent jury ;-) and to be honest, from the beginning on, this design was my favorite. Some small changes had to be done, that's why I had to make another one for the print shop today. Unfortunately my printer's not the best but I know the finished business card from the print shop will be a hundred times more beautiful :-)

I'm curious to see the offer the print shop will send me, because I want to have round corners and part of my logo embossed for the business card. If the embossing turns out to be too expensive, I'll just have to use my crafting skills :-) We'll see...
